Are you itching for more seat time this year than you had in your car last year? Then get ready for a great opportunity to get behind the wheel of your car early this year presented by the Goodguys Rod & Custom Association. As we found out from Pro-Touring.com, coming up in just a few weeks, Goodguys will be hosting their 2nd Spring Lone Star Nationals in Ft. Worth, Texas which will feature the well-known Goodguys Autocross. Not only is this a great way to kick off your show/race season, it’s a great way to prepare for future competitions.
The 2nd Spring Lone Star Nationals will be held at the Texas Motor Speedway March 16th through the 18th. This year, the show will feature over 2,000 rods and customs, as well as vendor and manufacturer exhibits, the Goodgals Gallery, a swap meet and Cars for Sale Corral, a special track cruise and the Sunday Get Together. The event will also feature the Goodguys Autocross.
The autocross portion of the show will run all three days, starting Friday the 16th at 9a.m. On Friday the autocross will be open until 4p.m. while Saturday it will be open until 3p.m. and Sunday until 1p.m.
Gates to the show open all three days at 8a.m. with the autocross starting at 9a.m. On Friday and Saturday, the autocross will shut down for an hour at noon for lunch.
If you didn’t get as much seat time in your car as you wanted last year, the Goodguys 2nd Spring Lone Star Nationals event is a perfect opportunity to start your season off right. Better yet, you can save $10 on your show participation if you pre-register for the event before March 2nd.
As always, the event is open to customs, classics, hot rods, trucks and muscle cars through the 1972 model year. So get your butt in gear and guarantee yourself more seat time this year by attending the 2nd Spring Lone Star Nationals.
