Here in the USofA all know how awesome V8’s and classic american iron can be, but the love of American cars doesn’t end at the border of the United States. We found these images from Sweden showing a gathering of fellow American car lovers.
The modifications they do on some of the cars may not be the same as what we do, but let there be no doubt, the images we found at carbuzz.com show they have a real love for American iron.
Sweden is apparently crazy for just about everything they can find, from Corvettes of all eras to street rods to classic correctly restored muscle cars. Modern cars seen include a late model Chevy Monte Carlo, and several newer Mustang convertibles.
They even have a love for our law enforcement’s vehicles, as shown by a fully decked out California Highway Patrol Chevrolet Caprice! I am sure that isn’t nearly as scary to see driving behind you as it would be here.
Of course they have some of their own cars, shown by several Volvos in the gallery. But you can see one Volvo wagon has a small block Chevrolet replacing its stock powerplant, which is actually a rather popular (and awesome) swap.
And that isn’t the only thing being swapped. You can see cars being swapped onto truck chassis, and V8’s being swapped for flat sixes in the back of a 911.
With events like Gatebil, we know that the Swedes have an insane love of cars. This shows they love cars with a decidedly American flavor.
