It is no secret that in the last decade or so, EFI (electronic fuel injection) systems have been sweeping the market. There have been a ton of racers and car enthusiasts in general that have made the switch and swear to never go back. For some, carburetors are a thing of the past. However, there are still some die-hard racers and hot-rodders that swear by the carburetor. The simplicity and affordability with a traditional carburetor is just something they aren’t ready to give up on yet.
ProCharger has kits that deliver all the extra power you could possibly need. They have kits for both BBC and SBC applications. These are designed as universal kits to fit the most popular GM muscle car and truck applications. These systems work with your blow through carburetor or your aftermarket EFI systems that use a carb-flanged throttle body.
They also have a wide selection of carb bonnets. What is great about these systems is that the increase you see in power in almost infinite. It can be whatever you want based on what your motor can handle. Meaning, they have anything from 500hp street applications to F3-blown race setups. Anything you can imagine, these guys can make happen.
These BBC and SBC systems come with a variety of options:
If you have a 4150 carb flange they come in: low-profile 2-inch tall, standard 2.75-inch tall, or the competition 4.5-inch tall.
This is something new! If you have a Dominator blow-thru carb ProCharger now offers an option in polished standard, black, 5′ inlet, 5.5′ tall, designed for optimum airflow for 1000+hp applications.
They are offered in both intercooled and non-intercooled options. The intercooled kits include air-to-air intercooler, universal tubing, and a bypass valve.
Speaking of bypass valves they have many options. They come in either Proflow, Bullet, Race, or ProRace valves. The race valve has always come standard in their red finish, however, it is now offered in a black finish as well.
You can also get these systems in 8-rib or 12-rib serpentine belt drive systems for P, D, and F-Series Prochargers (500-1000hp).
They typically come in the standard satin (brushed aluminum) finish, but there are options to have them polished or black finished for the ProCharger head unit, brackets, and carb bonnet.
If you are seeking higher horsepower (1000-1600+) they are available in a cog belt drive for the F-Series ProChargers.
For your GM accessories they are available in either V-belt or 6-rib serpentine belt drive systems.
There is also a CrankDrive available for 1,500-3,500+ hp applications.
Air conditioning and power steering options are also available for applications with up to 1,600hp combinations.
