Preparing for the 2027 Scottsdale Auction, Barrett-Jackson recently expanded their signature Arizona event across two full weekends. Consignment demand continues to spike worldwide as collectors hunt down rare sheetmetal. Rather than packing the massive inventory into a rushed seven-day stretch, the team stretched the live auction schedule to nine days.

Running from Saturday, January 23 through Sunday, January 31, the updated calendar gives bidders extra time to study more than 2,000 collectible machines rolling across the block at WestWorld of Scottsdale.

Before the first vehicle ever rolls under the arena lights, festivities kick off on Thursday night with the Rock The Block concert. Following that musical opener, guests attend the invitation-only Opening Night Gala on Friday evening.

Once Saturday morning arrives, auctioneers start taking bids on hundreds of custom builds, factory muscle, and foreign sports cars. To accommodate enthusiasts who collect vintage signage, gas pumps, and historic garage items, the event team added considerable floor space for a larger automobilia docket.

Opening weekend pairs intense bidding wars with Coca-Cola Family Day, giving younger automotive fans hands-on exposure to interactive STEM activities. Explaining the reasoning behind the extended schedule, Jackson states, “This historic expansion not only allows us to meet unprecedented global demand for our dockets, but it also drives a massive economic boost for Scottsdale and the greater Phoenix area through extended tourism and hospitality revenue.”

Spreading the catalog across two high-traffic weekends also provides a major boost for charity sales by placing special vehicles in front of primetime television audiences. Jackson notes, “Adding a second full weekend also creates more opportunities for kids and families to experience the excitement of the auction, which is vital to cultivating the next generation and growing the collector car hobby.”

Spreading the live bidding across two full weekends gives gearheads an undeniable excuse to book a January flight out to the desert. Bidding on classic steel takes time and patience. Fortunately, anyone looking to park a rare machine in their garage will find plenty of opportunities when the 2027 Scottsdale Auction kicks off under the Arizona sun.
