It may be cliche and politically incorrect, but we all size people up immediately by how they look and act. Some call it profiling. Others call it human nature, but we digress. Either way you slice it though, there’s no question at all that the guy that drives this ’65 Plymouth will ever be called the “Good Guy.” This car is driven by men from the other side of the tracks, and when we found it over at Bring A Trailer we couldn’t stop drooling over it.
The owner bought the car in 2009 in completely stock form, yanked off every chunk of trim, and then TIG welded all of the holes shut in preparation for a flawless coat of gloss black. We dig.
Under the hood is a 413-inch Max Wedge with a new Mopar Performance manifold and dual Edelbrock quads from Mancini Racing with an MSD ignition. He also added power front disc brakes and a narrowed Moser rear axle to make room for larger meats out back.
It’s hard to tell, but the wheels are nothing more than a set of Torque Thrusts, painted black of course.
Truth be told, there’s nothing magical about this package at all. It doesn’t have crazy body mods that could only be pulled off by Pure Vision, nor does it have an overly exotic motor. It’s just a great example of muscle in it’s purest form; raw, cool, and utterly bad-ass!
