Although the official show doesn’t start until Saturday, March 21, you can be sure that the party has already started in Irvine, California, as the Tenth Annual Festival of LXs invades Southern California. Affectionately known to the hordes of Mopar LX platform owners as SpringFest 10, or SF10, for many the party never ended last year as enthusiasts began to count down the days almost immediately.
What began as four enthusiasts who decided to get together with their Dodge Charger and Chrysler 300C platform cars a decade ago, SpringFest has turned into the biggest platform-only car show on the West Coast – probably even the entire country. With more than 1,200 vehicles in attendance last year, the involvement from Chrysler has grown so much that we’re wondering when the real estate at Irvine Spectrum will be overgrown with so many Mopars that a new venue has to be selected.
The DoubleTree Hotel is overrun by Mopar enthusiasts who have been officially partying since Thursday, with the kickoff beginning at Fuddruckers restaurant in Lake Forrest. Chrysler will be out in full force again this year, with Scat Pack Challengers and Chargers for a drive event Friday, and special guests Saturday at the official show, such as The King himself – Richard Petty. We told you this thing was huge!
Top: Detail parties started last week all over the country in preparation for SF10. The Allens, of Mopar360, host parties like this at their home regularly.
Bottom: You can expect to see some familiar faces, lots of involvement from Chrysler, and major eye candy.
We’ll bring you coverage again this year, as we did last year, and share our own drive experience from Friday with the Scat Pack Mopars. If you’re interested in attending this show, it is free to spectators, but if you’re looking for something other than SRT8 Jeeps, Chrysler 300, Dodge Charger and Challenger – don’t hold your breath, because this exclusive show is limited. But don’t worry, there’s enough variety and fun to keep you busy the entire day. Head on out to the Irvine Spectrum Saturday at 8808 Irvine Center Drive in Irvine, California, or you can find out more details at the SoCalLX website for official news and information.

Represent! SpringFest 10 is very proud of our military, and Jamal Becton’s Charger shows just how much.
