Optima Batteries will begin the search for this year’s Ultimate Street Car contest at Las Vegas Motor Speedway in Las Vegas, starting tonight, September 28.
Presented by Advance Auto Parts, “OPTIMA’s Search for the Ultimate Street Car” is a ten-episode, weekly series airing on MAVTV. Episode one will air this evening at 8:00pm Eastern time. This will be the show’s fifth season on MAVTV Motorsports Network.
OPTIMA Batteries originally conceived the annual to showcase cars that use over-the-counter aftermarket products to improve performance and to give the car owners and sponsors a positive environment in which to show off their vehicles and products.
The competition is open to six vehicle classes, with one for electric cars. All competing vehicles must be registered, licensed and insured for street use. Each vehicle is tested for Design and Engineering, Road Rally, Speed-Stop, Autocross and Road Course capabilities.
