Are you one of those musclecar guys that goes nuts for period correctness? Well, if you’ve got a mid-60s Mopar drag car – or road race car, let’s not split hairs here – then this Crewcab recreation is exactly what you need in order to complete the package.
Sporting a 221 inch wheelbase, this brute is built from a 1977 Dodge M500 motor home chassis with 1963 cab festooned atop. The hauler is powered by a 440 cubic inch motor that’s hooked up to a 727 TorqueFlite automatic transmission, and out back is a heavy duty Dana 70 differential.
The truck comes fully loaded with power steering, power brakes, Budd wheels, an electric winch and a custom made “Baker” bed.
As far as the condition of the truck, the seller only reports that it “runs” but clearly some love has been bestowed on this project, and the interior in particular looks pretty tidy. And if you’re into patina, hey this thing has plenty of it – as long as you don’t look at the brand new bed.
We’re sad to report that the Plymouth A/FX replica pictured on the back of the truck in the ad doesn’t come in the deal, but we’d wager the asking price would be a bit more than the $17.5K the seller is asking for here.
It’s currently housed in Pierce, Colorado, and ready to lug around your vintage Mopar toys. Just imagine what it’d be like to strut up to the track with this bad boy toting your race car. Hey, one can dream.
