The possibilities for customization on a classic vehicle are endless these days, but one thing’s for sure and that is there are plenty of industry leading companies out there willing and able to help you accomplish whatever dreams you may have for your car. One of those companies is Total Cost Involved (TCI) Engineering and the chassis and suspension components they bring to the market are helping countless customers achieve their automotive goals.
In browsing through the TCI Customer’s Car albums on the company’s Facebook page, we came across one such dream car come true owned by Odell Wilson. Built by Larry Griffey’s Hot Rods & Restorations, Odell’s 1940 Ford convertible is magnificent in maroon with a maroon top. Contrasting the red hue, which makes its way inside the car as well, is a tan interior complete with custom door panels, center console, seats and more.
Under the car you’ll find a full TCI air spring chassis with the company’s custom independent front suspension and 4-link rear suspension. This setup works well with the convertible’s Wilwood brakes on all four corners for stopping power and Billet Specialties Vintec Series wheels wrapped in new rubber for pavement hugging power.
You can have all the power in the world but without a proper chassis and suspension, you're engine work is worthless.
Odell’s convertible is his personal idea of a street rod done right, and while it may not fit the bill of what your dream car would look like, the import part in building a custom is building it to your personal vision. Thanks to all the chassis and suspension components they offer for classic cars and trucks, TCI can help make that possible in any form or function.
