Aside from the hundreds, if not thousands, of enthusiasts that we are sure are up all night prepping their builds for SEMA, there are some that have been preparing for this show long before all the others – Brandon Wargo and Kyle Kuhnausen are two of those people.
Right after he graduated college, and had attended his first SEMA show, Kyle had a goal to compete in the Battle of the Builders competition. That was over five years ago – later this month, his goal comes to fruition.
Designed to be a car to daily drive to the office, but also be able hop on the track, Kyle explains, “At one point we decided, ‘why not just do everything?’ – We’ve already come this far.”
The “InZanity” Datsun he built for a customer over the course of the past two years, along with Brandon Wargo’s 280 build, dubbed 2ATZ, will be competing against at least a hundred other builds.
At the time of the video, Brandon’s build is still in progress, but looks quite promising. Its an organized mashup – with parts coming from other vehicles, all the way down to the rear spoiler, hood scoop, and a 2.o-liter turbo LTG from the Cadillac ATS under the hood.
We can’t wait to see these two examples of Nissan’s legendary Z car lineup at the SEMA Show. Which one do you think would take the cake?
