Vicari Classic And Muscle Car Auction Offers Up Some Rare Gems

The unmistakable aero styling of the Superbird can be yours at the Vicari Auction taking place in New Orleans. Keep those paddles ready!

A large part of scoring rare cars, or getting a great deal on one has to do with being at the right place at the right time with a pocket full of cash. We’ve all heard of that guy, perhaps it’s your cousins, uncle’s friend’s dad’s car that he sold some years ago at an unbelievable price because he needed the money, and you thought, “Man, where was I?” Well, few of us are that lucky, and we need to hunt these cars down the old fashioned way, on the internet. Or, is that the new fashioned way?

In any case, there are still deals to be had. In fact, come August, if you’re in New Orleans, LA, you might want to check out the Vicari Classic and Muscle Car Auction going on Friday and Saturday, the 24th and 25th. Among the very rare, very collectable, and very beautiful cars being auctioned will be this gorgeous, “Vitamin-C Orange,” 1970 Plymouth Superbird.

#44 of 77 426 HEMI Superbirds sold new in the USA.

The Superbird is a real numbers matching Hemi car complete with 2, 4bbl Carter carburetors. It has undergone a full rotisserie restoration, and been in a private collection it’s entire life. Suffice to say, everything works on this car and it’s ready to roll. The Superbird is even registered in the NASCAR Registry.

Documentation that comes with the car, along with a certified appraisal.

If you’re asking yourself why anyone would ever let such a glorious bird go, try not to be too hard on the owner that has to let this baby leave the nest. Who knows? Maybe they need the room, maybe they need the money for the next piece, or maybe they just got divorced, and they’ll be damned if she takes half of the collection! Regardless of the reason, every once in a while car collectors liquidate some of the pieces, and it’s up to us to give them new homes.

If you miss out on the former NASCAR legend, fear not! Luckily for you, there are a whole slew of crazy rare cars being auctioned off to the highest bidder in New Orleans. One such car is a real deal ’69 Copo Camaro, one of the rarest cars Chevrolet ever made. Oh, and did we mention almost all of these cars are being auctioned off with no reserve?

So, do yourself a favor and get down there with your bidding paddle ready. If you’re not in the area you can always check out what is going to be there at vicariauction.com.
