Now that springtime is arriving in the Northeast and Midwest and the roads are clearing up, we’re all thinking about getting the garage cleaned up and that means pulling our ride out. Well, while it’s out anyway, why not take it for a cruise around the neighborhood?
It’s been way too long since the baby has been out, and what can a little trip around the block do to it? Well, here’s one owner that really didn’t want to know the answer, but found out in a rather brusque fashion.
Pulling up at a stop, beside someone else that appreciated his new Challenger SRT8 392, it all went pear-shaped when someone in a Ford pickup truck rammed into the back of the Challenger. While it sure doesn’t look like a high speed “I missed the brake pedal” kind of hit, the 4,200 pound Challenger ended up right across the 4-lane street.
At least it looks like everyone got out OK, because people are a lot harder to fix than cars. Who knows what was going on in the pickup truck? But, with all the possibilities today that take one’s eyes off the road, there is no doubt that distracted driving is the new version of DUI. That’s a pretty good example right here.
