Our buddies over at RK Motors Charlotte have done it again with this one. A frame-off build, drool over this beautiful 1953 Ford F100 Pickup that has all the right things going for it to keep its wonderful legacy intact.
All blacked out and ready to go, this F100 holds onto its timeless good looks and bubbly aesthetics. Cherished as a cultural icon, this second generation F100 has been brought back to gold standard, resembling the cruiser it was 60-plus years ago.
The F100s deep black paint keeps the truck’s curves honest and shrouded into mystery as your eyes dive over each fender. The oak bed adds a classic touch to the truck, only enhancing the truck’s vintage appeal.
However, it’s the truck’s internals that make it a great option as a daily cruiser. Under the hood rests a 5.0-liter Ford small-block V8 with stock heads and a coated Edelbrock Magneti Morelli carb. The F100s engine is mated to a C6 three-speed automatic transmission and a completely rebuilt suspension that features a Mustang II front clips and KYB Excel-G shock absorbers.
All this Ford’s power spins a set of 20-inch Billet Specialties Vintec wheels, which are wrapped in 245/35R20 and 275/40R20 Capitol Sport UHP’s. Power front disc and rear drum brakes as well as rack and pinion steering keep handling precise on this F100. A fully custom interior, complete with Vintage Air conditioning, a billet-trimmed dash, and an elegant bench seat help to complete the F100s beautiful package.
Being fully restored, would you change anything on this F100? Is it worth its asking price? Be sure to share your thoughts or opinions below.
