Some of the best treasures in the automotive world aren’t purchased from websites, or found on dealer lots–sometimes the best treasures are found in a shed, or a barn on someone’s property. The best part is, the person who owns the property usually has no clue about it, or they have no idea how much what they’re possessing is worth.
He ends up finding a shed that seems to be abandoned and goes to check it out. There was an old Cadillac in there that has been rotting for what must have been years. There were leaves, branches, what looked like bird droppings, and hay in and around the car–there was so much debris that Whitlock said they would need fresh air masks.
Of course, there are some treasures to be found in Boise, but those are often more expensive, and usually cars that the owners want to hold on to. One part of the video we took note of was when Whitlock talked about why he didn’t like newer cars–he simply described them as, “cookie cutters,” which is something hot rods definitely are not. We certainly agree with that, as automobiles back then weren’t as mass produced as the ones we have in our lives today.
