With Autumn quickly approaching, many enthusiasts across the country are preparing to put their cars away for the season. Over the course of the next five months or so, those living in the Northeast and Midwest will have to resort to getting their automotive entertainment elsewhere.
There are several other outlets in getting your automotive fix. Some of us help our friends with their projects, build model cars, and even play car-related video games like Forza, Gran Turismo, or Grand Theft Auto. If that’s your thing.
We suggest classic car movies, because let’s be honest: you can’t wrench on a car twenty-four hours a day. There are countless ones to choose from, and it seems that there are new ones being discovered or rediscovered on a weekly basis. As much as we’ve been into car movies (all of our lives) we still somehow manage to stumble upon some we’ve never seen or even heard of.
You can even go on YouTube and find clips from your favorite films, like this compilation piece we’ve found. It’s several sequences of films put together that include The Seven Up’s, Deadline Auto Theft, The Junkman, Black Dog, and several others.
If you watch the video you’ll get glimpses of cars you rarely see in car chases, on TV, or otherwise like a 1980 Corvette, a Bricklin SV-1, or a ’73 Pontiac Ventura, to name a few. There are also clips from movies that we aren’t totally familiar with in this compilation. So if any of you can shed some light on the lesser known sequences, we would love to hear it.
