The guys over at Autoholics turned us onto these two videos of Mopars in a foreign country. You would probably never guess in a million years that there would be Mopar muscle cruising around in Iran. The two videos show that there actually is someone with good taste out there in the Middle East. The first video shows what looks like a ’70 ‘Cuda, judging by the taillights.
By looking at the call-outs it also appears the engine has been changed to a small block 360. The wheels are something we haven’t seen before, they kind of look like the old recalled, Kelsey Hayes type wheels, that were dealer installed on some of the factory late 60s Mopars. Nonetheless, it is a classic Mopar that cruises the streets in Iran. There’s also what appears to be a ’68 or ’69 Charger on the other side of the red Chevrolet pickup truck, look closely.
In the second video, at about the 40 second mark, we see what appears to be a ’71 Charger. It looks like something you see over here in the US, with its classic vintage 70s stance and factory performance optioned power bulge hood. Would it be reaching too far to think that this car might have a 440 big block engine under the hood? Hey, even if it’s only a 318, the car still stands out like Dolly Parton in an Ethiopian cafeteria. It’s amazing to see that there are actually Mopar fans in places you would least expect it.
