Are you ready for the next installment of The Fast and The Furious movie franchise? Well, unfortunately you’re going to have to wait until 2013. However, the crew of Fast Five hasn’t forgotten about their fans and one recently let out a few more tidbits of information to keep the fire lit under you Fast and Furious fans for the long wait ahead. Check out the MTV interview with Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson above, compliments of Ain’t It Cool News.
As we told you in December, the production of the sixth and seventh movies of The Fast and The Furious franchise have been confirmed and the next installment is set to be released next May. Unfortunately this means quite a wait but information about the future Fast movies continues to be released.
In a recent interview with MTV, Johnson revealed that the sixth movie will be filmed independently of the seventh, although the two were once planned to be filmed back-to-back and then split into two productions. The next two movies are set to tell one big story, so it is interesting to find out that they will now be filmed separately.
Johnson also revealed that for the next installments he will be filming in the UK and in Germany, although he did not say which location will be featured in which movie. According to Johnson, filming for Fast Six will begin this May.
Be sure to stay tuned as we’re sure more information about the next Fast and Furious movies will be surfacing as filming gets underway soon.
