While the aftermarket for Gen III Hemi parts isn’t actually that of the LS or Coyote engines, brands are starting to pick up that people are really eager to modify these engines. The Gen III Hemi engine is responsible for the power behind some of the baddest Mopar vehicles around.
Edelbrock has been leading the pack when it comes to bringing aftermarket performance parts to the late model Hemi market. Their new Edelbrock Performer RPM cylinder heads for Hemi Gen III engines is a bolt-on upgrade for the 2003-to-present Gen III Hemi 5.7L, 6.1L, 6.2L, and 6.4L engines. These heads are made to fit a stock intake manifold, exhaust manifolds, valve covers, rocker arms, spark plugs, and other accessories, even on the Hellcat.
The Hemi Gen III cylinder heads are machined to be used on either side of the block, and are made from cast A356 aluminum. They are heat treated to T6 specifications, then machined and assembled at Edelbrock’s facility in California.
The fully CNC machined combustion chambers and CNC profiled bowls and port entries/exits for optimal air flow. They feature more material on the deck and reinforced chambers to handle higher pressure from the cylinders. Rocker bosses have been reinforced for better stability and strength. The intake and exhaust port flanges are in the factory location to make these cylinder heads OEM component friendly. The valves have been tipped away from the bore wall to unshroud larger valve, while still maintaining the factory geometry.
