We’re big fans of GoPro cameras, those little film studios that mount to helmets, hoods and just about anywhere. Those tiny video cameras have provided us hours of motocross, offshore JetSki, and off-roading footage that was nearly impossible to get just a few years ago.
Well, video camera technology keeps improving – and apparently shrinking – down to the size of a Hot Wheels car.
The blog, DadDoes.com recently got their hands on the new Hot Wheels Video Racer toys. The latest ingenious invention from Mattel allows kids to video tape the lightning fast adventures of their daring cars as they careen through self-designed tracks. Of course, when we were kids, we had to use our imagination, but what is that when you can just video tape it?!
Little more than a standard Hot Wheels can touting a lens covered by a Hot Wheels body with a rear-mounted USB port to download your footage, the Hot Wheels Video Racer is impressive in its resolution and shutter speed, allowing for various camera speeds for real-time or slow-motion footage.
This video was snatched up over at DadDoes, where the reviewer tests out the camera by running it through a couple hair-raising tracks. The footage is a blurry mess of twists and turns that is sure to either result in motion sickness or inspiring loads of you to run out and start building some of the most ridiculous car courses you can dream up just so that you can film it.
