To say that Kenny Wayne Shepherd is a country music artist is just one aspect of his life. He is also an avid Mopar fan. In his band’s latest music video for Never Lookin’ Back, Shepherd shares his enthusiasm for Mopars by featuring his own custom cars.
Shepherd owns a custom Duster and new Challenger. Not only do these vehicles make appearances in the video, they are a vital part of the story line. Shepherd can be seen driving around the country in them- something you wouldn’t see an Escalade on 22s doing.
Unlike the pimped out Escalades or lifted trucks seen in many music videos, the Mopars help bring a home-grown, all-American feel to the production, even though they are custom.
Shepherd’s Mopars are nice and probably have more money in them than many of us could justify spending, but they aren’t cliché like so many vehicles seen in all kinds of music videos are. And they are certainly not riddled with ridiculous TV screens, strobe lights and flashy chrome.
So, no matter what kind of music you’re into, if you like Mopars, this music video is worth checking out. It’s inspiring to see that even big-name celebrities can appreciate good ‘ol fashion American muscle.
