Rat rods come in all shapes and sizes and you’ll never see one that’s quite like another. That’s unfortunate in this case because this turbocharged diesel rat is truly one bad a$$ machine! Check it out in the Skull Crusher Adventures video above!

Everything from the horn setup to the interior of this rat rod is custom- exactly what every rat rod should be!
Spotted at the South Texas Performance Hot Rod Riot 2014 event, JB Clegg’s rat rod is based off of a ’29 sedan body that was converted into a truck. Add some rust, custom metal work, and the powerplant out of a 1994 Dodge pickup truck and you’ve got yourself one awesome ride.
With an Isuzu front end and a Dodge rearend, the rat rod is powered by a Cummins diesel engine topped off with a 62-mm Phat Shaft turbocharger from Industrial Injection. This gives the truck a hardy 550 horsepower.
That makes for plenty of pavement pushing power to the rat’s massive 18-wheeler rear wheels.
Built by Clegg and some buddies, the truck hails from Clegg’s personal shop in Victoria, Texas named Mission Garage. And if this rat rod is any indication of the builds Clegg is capable of, we can’t wait to see what the next Mission Garage build has in store!
