In a world of stick-on restyling parts, it is entirely refreshing to see someone take a modern car somewhere new. That’s exactly what the folks at JW Motosports, from Bellflower, CA, did recently and their starting point was the newly-restyled 2011 Dodge Charger.
The resulting hot rod shows an eight-inch expansion in the rear, shown off by some sick 295/30R24 tires mounted on Asanti 24’s. The front end grew wider by four inches in order to safely tuck in the 255/30R24 tires. As you’ll see in the videos below, this was all done the old school way, by cutting and extending body panels and putting it all back together so that it looks factory original.
The company is experienced in such conversions, having previously visited such wickedness on a 2009 Dodge Challenger and a 2010 Chevy Camaro SS.
But for the in-your-face lettering on the Asanti rims, you might not exactly notice what is different about this car on first glance and that’s a sign of top drawer workmanship. Done up as a full tilt custom, the car also sports a reworked interior in black leather with suede inserts with contrasting white stitching.
If you’re looking for a new ride this Spring and don’t want to take a back seat to anybody, this custom Charger might be a good place to start. It is for sale at last check.
