For the past several months, My Classic Garage has been building a Mustang for their yearly giveaway contest. But rather than building a car to their own specifications, like they did with the 1970 Hemi ‘Cuda that was given away last January, this Mustang is being designed by registered participants.
That means that the decisions are not up to the expert builders putting this car together, the decision are being voted on by those who ultimately have the opportunity to win this 1967 Mustang Fastback.
You can believe that this Mustang it not going to be an ordinary Mustang, nosiree, this Mustang is getting the best of the best, including a 412 horsepower Ford Racing Coyote crate engine, Detroit Speed suspension system, and super wide Forgeline wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 tires. Putting on the binders is being done with a set of Baer disc brakes with six-piston calipers clamping down on huge 14-inch rotors.
While the bulk of the build has been completed, there are still some components that are being added to the car to finish off this build. There’s the bumper fabrication that’s being done, the roll bar is being fabricated as well, and the Borla exhaust system is being put into place. This Pro-Touring Mustang is going to be ready to hit the track right out of the gate.
You can follow along with the remainder of the build by keeping tabs on the My Classic Garage Blog, and keep checking back with us for a full feature on Project Fastback upon completion. But if you want to win this magnificent beast, you’re going to have to register at My Classic Garage.
