When it comes to collecting cars, passion is what drives many investors. Whether it’s a car they remember fondly from their youth, or the first car they ever owned/drove/took a girl to a dance in/crashed into a pole, there is always a reason an automotive enthusiast amasses a car collection.
When we came across this video, with 18 of some of the finest musclecars ever produced in America all stuffed into one building, we realized it is a passion for American Muscle that drives this collector. If you are an old-school GM or Mopar fan, you’re likely to spend a couple of minutes drooling over this video like we did.
Everything that is glorious about those brands and the muscle car era is well-represented here, from the convertible Challenger with the 340 Six Pack to the convertible ‘Cuda 440 Six Pack – a pair of rare machines. There’s a convertible Rally Sport Camaro, a couple of Chevelles, an early-70’s Trans Am and at least one Corvette to go with numerous other examples of what horsepower used to represent to the American buying public.
Unfortunately, most of the cars appear to have a decent layer of dust coating the paint, and there are cobwebs in a couple of shots, meaning that these cars aren’t necessarily stored in the best of conditions. A couple of the cars appear to have been drivers at one point, as we spied a bit of rust around the window of one of the Camaros as well.
One can only wonder why someone would invest all of that money over the years into a collection of cars like that, and then not at least put covers on them for storage. Regardless, a nice collection of rare cars. We’ll never know if the numbers match, but that’s not really the point, is it?
