While a trip to the car wash for most is pretty uneventful things got pretty live recently at one local Quick Quack car wash when an out of control motorist barreled through the automated line at full throttle. While there was property damage to the business fortunately no one was seriously injured when the driver, in a moment of panic, mistakenly smashed the gas instead of the brake pedal as they hammered down.
Based off what information is known the motorist is believed to have been of sound mind and simply in laymen’s terms wigged out and was unable to bring the car to a stop. As employees quickly realized the motorist had forgotten where the brake pedal was they jumped into action with one sprinting after the car while the other one attempted to motion them to stop.
At speeds of what appears to be over 40 mph the driver finally came to a rest as it slammed into a fence line just seconds away from hitting another customer. The accident caused structural damage to both the facility and property as well as a banged up car, but all parties involved walked away in one piece. Extremely proud of their staff, Quick Quack Car Wash was up and running in just a couple of days of this incident and shared the professionalism and amazing response of the team on duty. Most well known for their efforts in being environmentally friendly by conserving and recycling water, if Quick Quack Car Wash has not selected their employees of the month we think these two young ladies deserve a shout out from the powers that be.
