This fall South Texas Performance in Victoria, Texas held their first annual open house. This shop specializes in everything, from doing rodding and custom work, all the way up to late model and diesel performance as well as lifted trucks and four-wheel drive vehicles. Gearhead Flicks was on hand to film the event and put together this cool video featured above.
The video features cool cars showcasing some of STP’s handy work along with a few pinup models that were on hand for the event. What also peaked our fancy were the cars that participated in the car show held during the open house event. Cars in the show ran a wide range from rods and customs to muscle cars and late models. There was something for everyone on site. Cars seemed to run from low buck builds to high dollar show machines – there was both patina and perfection all on display, side by side.
This being Texas there was no shortage of custom trucks at the show as well. We were very fond of the STP shop truck, though it doesn’t appear to be completed yet, but its stance is just right, the exhaust pipes, and a light green color lend to it’s early hot rod appeal and mean look. Other trucks shown in the video ran from mild to wild, with many slammed classics and a few jacked up four-wheel drives.
There were plenty of Model A and other ‘30s model vehicles as well. These too ran from high dollar show models with slick paint, to patina’d rides – some of which looked as if they may have been daily drivers never having taken any show time off in their history.
The entire video is definitely worth a look for some cool car footage and gives you a good feel for what STP is all about. We’ll be looking for some hot cars to come out of this shop in the future so stay tuned for some up coming features!
