Some pretty wild builds come through Jay’s garage, but this one has got to be up near the very top. We’ve seen this build previously, but now with Leno in the mix we get a chance to really go over the details of this dual plug Hemi trike, which is reported to make over 1000 horsepower.

The owner of the trike is Tim “Frogman” Cotterill, a man who made his fortune as the proprietor of frog novelty items. That career path seems to have suited him well, as the Rocket II is an absolute monster in terms of both performance and engineering.

Built by Blastolene, the same folks who built Jay’s Tank Car, the Rocket II is even more fascinating once you get into the details. For instance, while it may look like two separate wheels, the custom made front wheel was made out of one solid piece of billet aluminum that was designed to accommodate two tires for stability. The front brake is a custom made Wilwood disc with a six-piston caliper.

Backing up the Hemi motor is a 3-speed TorqueFlight automatic gearbox which can be either shifted manually or left in Drive if you prefer to let the gearbox do the dirty work. Sitting atop the Hemi is a 8-71 BDS Supercharger that helps make that four digit horsepower number.

Unsurprisingly, Jay takes to the sidelines while we watch Cotterill pilot the Rocket II, which we’d imagine has a fairly steep learning curve. Regardless, out on the road, this trike looks (and sounds) all sorts of badass.
