Each year, the folks at Original Parts Group (OPGI) put on a series of shows to bring together various brands of General Motors’ cars. This year, on August 18th, a group of over 40 Oldsmobile owners had their opportunity to show off. The all-Olds show was held at the company headquarters in Seal Beach, California, and for a brand specific event like this one, there was an amazing amount of attendance. The show area was filled with pre-1983 Cutlass, Rocket 88s, and 442s. Several awards were handed out, and the winner of the VIP Pick was selected by the Mayor of Seal Beach, Mike Varipapa. You can check out who else won the best original, furthest driven, best custom, and best daily driver awards on the OPGI website. You can even go to the OPGI Facebook page to view some owner interviews, and vehicle walkarounds.
There weren’t just cars there, though. If you weren’t participating in the show with your ride, you could do so with your appetite. There was a bevy of food trucks in addition to prize drawings, a DJ, and plenty of trophies. Scattered among the enthusiasts were a host of vendors as well. Vendors included Classic Performance Products, Guaranty Chevrolet, Auto Meter, Powermaster, and Lokar.
With vendors, prizes, trophies, and of course, the awesome Oldsmobiles attending the show, the day was definitely fun-filled. If you want a chance to see the show in just a couple minutes, check out the video at the top of the page. For more images, check out the gallery.
