Gabriel was cruising in his land speeder to pick up some power convertors at Tosche Station, when he spotted this pair of old vintage pickup trucks. The trucks were half buried in the sand, left to succumb to the desert of Tatooine. Their bodies are rust free thanks to the trucks spending their whole lives in the desert but several parts such as the lights, pieces of trim and glass seem to be missing. Perhaps the Jawas got to the trucks decades ago and raided them for parts?
We didn’t have much information on these trucks, so we figured we’d have a little fun and make a Star Wars reference, since the desert setting reminded us of Tatooine. In reality, Gabriel found the trucks sitting in the desert of West Texas. Most likely they belonged to a rancher who parked them on his property back in the 1950s. However they got there, they became neglected or he lost his property and the trucks were left to be consumed by the sands of time. In the picture above, the closer truck is a mid 1940s Studebaker pick up, and the other is a vintage Chevy pick up.
Even though their beds, interiors and engine bays are full of sand, perhaps Gabriel can pull these trucks and restore them? Someone better grab these babies before they disappear under the sand. How do you think these trucks ended up the desert?
