Our modern world has one absurd moment after another. It’s almost like living in a carnival attraction titled “House of Mirrors,” where everything is skewed and out of whack. Just when you think it couldn’t get any crazier, we’d like to present the new benchmark in fourth-gen F-body values. Meet this $85.500 2002 Trans Am for sale in Troy, Ohio.
Yes, this is a super rare, modified ‘Bird created as a send-off for the last year of the Firebird and Camaro. It is factory fresh and almost flawless. The prices for fourth-gen F-Bodies have waned over the years as most are high mile, modified cars that have seen hard use. We love personalizing our rides but original cars will always bring top dollar and this yellow ‘Bird is a classic example.
According to the seller, “Carl Black Pontiac commissioned GMMG to build 50 specially modified 2002 Pontiac Trans Am WS6’s. Of these, seven were the collector’s edition option with its unique trim package and collector yellow paint to commemorate the final year of production for the Trans Am. Of the seven collector yellow editions, three were convertibles and four were coupes.
“This number six car is the only one built with the Phase 2X package with 475HP and 450TQ. It has just under 8K miles since new and has always been pampered. Never raced or modified outside of the GMMG conversion, it has never had any paint or bodywork. The car is heavily documented and comes with most documents since new.”
If all this turns you on, the car is still available for $85,500. Is it worth the money? Tell us why or why not in the comments section below.
