IMG_1267On September 6th kustom kulture enthusiasts will gather in the heart of historic Old Town in San Diego, California. The event will showcase music, art, and traditionally modified rides from the 20s through the 1972 model year in full force.

IMG_1259We had a chance to attend the 3rd Fiesta de Kustom Kulture last year, check out the gallery and get a vibe for this awesome event here.

The following is an excerpt from a press release sent out by Julius Ulrich of Motorcult, who partners with the San Diego Chamber of Commerce to put on the show every year: “San Diego Avenue, Harney Street, and Twiggs Street will be lined with pre ’72 hot rods, musclecars, motorcycles, trucks, unique, kitschy vendors, and some of the world’s finest lowbrow artists on Saturday, September 6th from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. for this free event.”

The release continues, “100% of the proceeds from the Charity Art Auction will go to San Diego’s Falcon Ridge Equine Rescue–one of the most accredited equine rescues in Southern California.”IMG_1299

Being nestled in the heart of a key historic location, event attendees can count on a vibrant surrounding of food and shops. There’s no shortage of awesome Mexican food, surf and turf, and pub eats around the area so this show is a great way to kick off your weekend.

For directions to the event, hotel accommodations, and registration information head over to Fiesta de Kustom Kulture’s homepage for full details. Rod Authority will be in attendance bringing our readers coverage from Old Town San Diego, but we certainly hope to see you there!IMG_1233
