If you ask us, not everyone takes advantage of their ten-year anniversary, and definitely not as much as the fun-loving gals at Mitzi and Co. Photography. In honor of their decade-long running strong, a lucky few have been invited to hang out at a local mansion following the Grand National Roadster Show in Pomona, where they can kick back and be treated to what promises to be the highlight of the weekend: a burlesque show.
There’s more cause for celebration than just the ten-year mark, however. Since first starting as a pinup photography studio, M&CP has grown to include several services for an ever-broadening customer base.
One of these is Pinup for a Day, which offers women a chance to realize the fantasy of dressing up like the sexy ladies of yesteryear, complete with a consultation, professional makeup and hairstyling, vintage or contemporary pinup-inspired wardrobe, and a personal photo session chosen from a wide variety of backgrounds and props.
Perhaps cooler than Pinup for a Day are the multitude of pinup workshops that M&CP holds every month. With guided lectures on what products and tools to use, techniques for shooting, as well as cosmetic advice, the workshops, held at the home studio in San Dimas, California, have proven a major success for the company.
