The hot rod you see above is a ‘34 Ford that’s been nicknamed the “Drag Rat.” As you may guess, this killer rod is a powerful beast and quite the burnout king. But there’s nothing quite like seeing its talents for yourself which driver Cleverson Morais so kindly exhibits in this video from Auto Meter’s Facebook page. Check it out above.
From all different angles, you get to experience the glorious sound of Drag Rat as well as watch it engulf the shop in smoke in a matter of seconds. The massive drag slicks on the back of the hot rod also provide quite the sight, shrinking to nearly half their width when Drag Rat starts to roll. With so much power, the hot rod even sends things wipping and tumbling askew behind it, like the overhead lamp that flails frantically from its cord at about 1:05.

But what’s even more amazing than the hot rod’s pure power and presence is the fact that it was built in just 40 days in order to show and run at the Curitiba Motor Show in Parana, Brazil in mid August. There, fans cheered for the Drag Rat and got to see it shoot down the track in all its glory. Well, sort of. With all it’s power, it seems that the Drag Rat has some handling issues as you can see in the video below from the event. But who needs handling when you can sit in your garage and do burnouts all day?
