What do you get when a bunch of muscle car enthusiasts from Pro-Touring.com and Lateral-g.net get together in Georgia? You get the Peach State Muscle Car Challenge, which runs August 5-7th this year. So, if you’re anywhere near the Atlanta area, this could be a great way to spend that weekend, with like-minded enthusiasts ready to shred tires, and turn brake pads into dust. It just doesn’t get any better!

There are three days of great activities lined up, including a kick-off cruise to Atlanta Motorsports Park, for a VIP Tour of the course and facilities. The return journey will stop for BBQ dinner and end up at a location entirely suitable for a full evening of bench racing.

The action starts Saturday morning with autocrossing starting at 7:00 a.m. (Darn, they get up early in Georgia!) and running until 3:00 p.m., using the extensive facilities at Red Top Auto Auctions, a collector car auctioneer in Cartersville, GA, followed by a huge Cruise Night festivities in the nearby Historic Cartersville Square.

If you didn’t get enough autocross action on Saturday, you’ll get to do it all over again on Sunday. Show up bright and early at Red Top again to make the most of your time and ride, as the facilities are open at 7:00 a.m. again.

Online registration for the event is available. Each autocross session has a $50 entry fee.
