If you’ve ever tried to source quality sheet metal for a Ford Fairlane or Torino restoration, you know how fast that search can go sideways. These are well-loved cars, but finding good reproduction parts that actually fit without modification is not easy. Auto Metal Direct has been building out its catalog to address that problem, and its Fairlane/Torino parts now cover enough ground to get a serious restoration moving without sourcing from a dozen different vendors and hoping everything lines up.
AMD stamps each piece from high-quality OE gauge steel on its very own tooling, building every part to match the correct shape, size, bends, curves, holes, and braces of the original components. Everything arrives EDP coated to protect against rust and corrosion right out of the box. That baseline quality matters on a restoration because a panel that is close but not quite right costs you time you do not have (and sometimes money you shouldn’t have to spend).
AMD Fairlane Torino Parts: Front End and Hood
The OE Style Hood for 1968 and 1969 Fairlane and Torino models is stamped on AMD’s exclusive tooling and replaces Ford part number C8OZ-16612-B. It matches original equipment specifications down to the braces and contours, so it goes on like a factory hood should.

AMD offers both the driver-side and passenger-side hood hinges covering the 1966 through 1970 Falcon; 1966 through 1969 Fairlane, Ranchero, Comet, and Cyclone; and 1968 through 1969 Torino and Montego. Each hinge is EDP-coated and features the correct hood spring as the original. The hood latch support covers 1967 through 1969 Fairlane, Ranchero, Comet, and Cyclone, along with the 1968 through 1969 Torino and Montego, replacing Ford part number C8OZ-16707-A.

For 1969 models, AMD offers a reproduction radiator core support for the Fairlane, Torino, and Ranchero, correct for all models except the six-cylinder, replacing Ford part number C9OZ-16138-A. The fender-to-bumper bracket brace for 1968 and 1969 Fairlane and Torino is stamped from heavy-gauge steel with the correct shape, size, bends, and holes.
Bumpers and Hardware
The front bumper for the 1968 and 1969 Fairlane and Torino, and the 1968 Ranchero, is built from heavy-gauge steel with an OE-quality chrome finish. It bolts directly on using OE bumper brackets and hardware and includes the correct holes for turn signals and lamps. AMD backs every bumper with a five-year limited rust-through warranty. A 38-piece front bumper bolt kit is available, so you are not scrambling for hardware separately.

Floor, Structure, and Rear Body Panels
Underneath is where a lot of these cars need the most help. The OE Style Floor Pan covers 1966 through 1971 Fairlane and 1968 through 1971 Torino models, excluding station wagons and the Ranchero. It mates to all adjacent panels with OE dimensions and features the correct shape, size, bends, holes, and ribs. Shifter tunnel humps are available for both automatic and manual transmission applications, covering the same model range.
AMD also offers the rear lower torque box floor pan brace for 1966 through 1969 Fairlane and Torino in both driver and passenger side fitments, and the torque box lower-to-rocker gusset plate for 1968 and 1969 models. These are the pieces that tend to get skipped until you pull up the floor and realize the structure underneath is just as far gone as everything else.
Quarter Panels, Tail Panels, and Rear Structure

AMD offers OE-style quarter panels for 1968 and 1969 Fairlane and Torino fastback models in both driver- and passenger-side fitments. Each panel is stamped from OE gauge steel with the correct shape, size, bends, curves, and body lines, and arrives EDP-coated. The taillight panel for 1968 and 1969 fastback models is stamped from heavy-gauge steel on AMD’s exclusive tooling, correct for fastback models only, replacing Ford part number C8OZ-5340320-B.
Trunk floor extensions for 1968 and 1969 Fairlane and Torino, inner rocker panels for 1966 through 1969 Fairlane and 1968 through 1969 Torino, and inner fender sections for 1966 through 1969 Fairlane and 1968 through 1969 Torino round out the rear and interior structure coverage. Door jamb lock pillars with reinforcement are also available for 1968 and 1969 two-door and convertible models.
Whether you are starting from a solid shell or pulling a project out of a field, AMD has the parts to back it up. Their Fairlane and Torino catalog goes well beyond the obvious pieces, covering the structural components that actually hold a restoration together from the floor up.
