Mustang Week Is Coming To Tampa Bay!

Several V8 engines will soon take over the Gulf Coast as Mustang Week Florida officially launches its brand-new Spring Break Edition in March 2027. Bringing the massive Ford festival to the Tampa Bay area gives all fans a perfect excuse to pack up and head south. Instead of dodging winter weather, drivers can hit the sunny streets for days of high-octane action across multiple premier venues.

Expanding beyond North Carolina and Texas, this third official destination completely changes the traditional festival atmosphere. Organizers mapped out a packed schedule starting on Wednesday with an exclusive VIP track session at the Motor Enclave, a private race track in Tampa. Later that evening, the same location hosts a kickoff party featuring live music, food, and a massive cruise-in.

Shifting gears on Thursday, participants will drive their builds over to Showtime Speedway. Drag racers will battle it out on the dragstrip while drift cars burn rubber on the asphalt oval.

The main spectacle takes over Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg on Friday and Saturday. This massive stadium lot will host the core Mustang Week Florida events, including the large All-Mustang Car Show and the Fabulous Fords Friday Cruise-In. Attendees can watch drifting exhibitions, meet automotive legends, and buy parts from more than 50 different vendors.

James Lawrence, owner of the festival, explains the specific vision behind the regional expansion. “Mustang Week Florida, we are calling it Spring Break Edition, and it is exactly what it sounds like: Mustang Week with a completely different vibe,” states Lawrence. He adds, “Between the weather, the beaches, the vacation opportunities, and the car culture, this is going to be a special event.”

Planning a trip down south gives owners plenty of time to finish those garage builds and prep their rides for the track. Swapping normal beach trips for a weekend surrounded by loud exhausts and custom builds easily beats sitting at home. Thousands of fans will undoubtedly flood the streets, proving that Mustang Week Florida will instantly become a mandatory stop on the annual car show calendar.
