Reality television has become a real garbage can containing the worst trash in our society. From the Kardashians and Real Housewives of Lower Slobovia, the horrible side of how we treat each other or what we are willing to allow as a culture – former olympic athletes changing gender and such. If all that wasn’t bad enough, Discovery Channel has begun searching for the next group of reality stars using automotive maintenance as the backdrop.

The Discovery Channel and Richard Rawlings – reality TV star of Fast N’ Loud – are assembling a team of handymen that will restore dilapidated automotive and motorcycle garages that have been run into the ground by failing owners.

In this new series, this team will rehab these old garages while the star of the show takes on a Gordon Ramsay like approach to “helping” the garage owner get back into business. We assume Rawlings will be the Ramsay or John Taffer character that performs the Bar Rescue of the distressed garage.

There is no telling if this will be a “Garage Rescue,” or a “Garage Nightmare,” but we can predict there will be an audience for the show. Especially if you look at the success of the other reality shows on TV today.

Discovery released this message, through one of the studios that works with the channel, for those interested in applying for a position on the show:
