Summer may already be halfway finished, but try telling that to the National Street Rod Association. They’re bringing the fun out to Louisville from August 1st to August 3rd, at the Kentucky Exposition Center. That’s right, folks, it’s the 45th Street Rod Nationals.
Any quandaries or questions you might have about the show can be easily dealt with on the NSRA website, where you can take a look at information regarding accommodations, directions, and mobility device rentals for the disabled. For the more detailed aspects on the show, we’ll have the full scoop here, or you can check out last year’s coverage, where we got to see some truly incredible classics.
For 2014, you’ll find no shortage of cars resting around the periphery of the convention center; reports indicate the number will swell to over 10,000! Street rods, customs, muscle cars, and street machines will be on display for you and your family to peruse and photograph, and the vast majority will be available for your up-close-and-personal viewing pleasure.
In the convention center itself, you can expect to find a fair number of vendors and manufacturers on display (over 350). Other attractions include the Women’s World and Craft Show, which will include various displays for arts and crafts.
The swap meet is always a popular place for showgoers to check out, and for good reason. It’s here that you’ll find not just the items you’ll need to finish off your project, but also fellow like-minded gearheads who can offer up knowledge and techniques to help you out with your rebuild of that rat rod or Tri-Five.
