Joe Teuton is a member of the NHRA drag racing hall of fame, but that doesn’t mean he’s resting on his laurels and enjoying any kind of retirement.
Instead, he’s still innovating as a drag racer. Teuton is having a Top Dragster chassis built by famed chassis builder Chuck Haase, and we’ve been told that Haase is including some of his Top Fuel tricks to make this new chassis a real contender. When complete, the car will be campaigned by his son, Joe Teuton Jr.
Chuck Haase was the originator of the tubular front wing mount now used on most TF/D and as well as the variable weight system that uses screw-in end caps of different weights and materials are used to fine tune the weight over the nose. This chassis features a scaled-down version of the system on the 275-inch dragster.

We are looking forward to sharing some completed photos of the car, but until then we do have these detail shots of the nose as well as the bracketing that connects the wing to the rear end.
