Of the 600 cars offered at Mecum’s 2018 Los Angeles auction, held at Fairplex at Pomona, a 2006 Ford GT crossed the block for $327,250 which earned it the highest sale of the event and contributed to the $9 million overall sales total.
Following the sale of the Ford GT was a matte-black 2016 Lamborghini Huracan fitted with a Vorsteiner Novara Kit that brought $236,500, while a 1958 Facel Vega FV4 Typhoon, one of just 36 built with the dual-quad 354 Hemi engine, scored the third highest sale with $214,500.
The auction also featured an assortment of road art. The highest selling piece of automobilia was the neon sign that hung over the Harley-Davidson visitor/employee entrance at the Milwaukee factory, the sale brought the final sale price to $88,500.

Mecum’s next auction will be this March 16-17 in Kansas City, Missouri, with a 700-vehicle offering, followed by the April 5-7 auction in Houston, Texas.
