805ROADKING has uploaded a video that will bring out the inner boy in any man. While attending a swap meet in a small town in Pennsylvania (judging from his accent and the Amish in the video), he witnessed a group of men having the time of their lives. He saw them driving around miniature cars, lookin’ like kids playing after school.
The Miniature cars are ½ scale versions of their full scale counter parts. These are not toy cars, they are fully motorized, drivable and ride on rubber tires. They are available in all shapes ranging from school buses, to classic hot rods to ’57 Chevys.
Some of the different vehicles seen driving around at the show included a school bus which contained enough room for a driver and his young passenger, a tractor trailer which was seen carrying John Deere tractors with their young passengers riding along.
While embracing their inner child, two men – one on a pro street Willys pick up and the other on a Pro Street ’57 Chevy pick up (both with mini drag slicks) – were racing around in circles. The driver on the ’57 was able to get his car sideways on two wheels and circle around.
Other mini cars included a cement truck, a 1940 Ford coupe hot rod, a ’57 Nomad, a black Willys pick up with Zoomie headers and a clean purple ’57 Chevy convertible. The kids who were given rides seemed to be enjoying themselves, perhaps they have been inspired and will be the next generation of hot rodders.
This video is proof that men never really grew up, and there is an inner boy in all of us. If you could own a miniature car what car would it be?
