Our favorite modern day motor is back and at it again. No matter where you’re at in the world, the LS is simply dominating motorsport right now, despite Ford’s best efforts. However, if you were new to the hobby and didn’t know any better, you might be led to think Australia is the home-base of the LS engine.
Why? Well look no further than the boys over at Horsepower Factory from Down Under. They’re simply building some of the sickest monsters in that part of the world, and it’s really making us want to hop on the first jet airplane to The Land of Oz.
We just found this video of the car’s owner, Aaron, and his Holden Commodore VY SS kicking ass at Heathcote Raceway’s test n’ tune session on August 5th. It’s definitely no slouch with its 408-stroked, single turbo LS packing enough power to haul the heavy sedan (saloon?) down the quarter mile in 9.80 at 143 mph.
You heard of chassis twist coming off launch? Well Aaron’s Holden’s trunk pops thanks to it’s instant torque. Don’t believe us? Watch the video to see. We’ve been experiencing some deja vu lately, as we have been featuring vehicle updates left and right, and Aaron’s Holden is no exception. We covered his car once before back in April when it was “only” a low ten-scond machine. It’s amazing the difference that only a few months can make. We’ll keep our eyes on the continual progress of this awesome Holden as time goes on.
