American Powertrain announced the latest offering for the 1983-1993 “Fox Body” Mustang: a new X-Factory crossmember. The crossmember has been designed with original equipment specifications to make installation of a TREMEC 6-speed Magnum transmission a quick job.
Other highlights of the X-Factor crossmember include that it bolts to the original supports already available on the Fox Mustang. Using new modular construction, the crossmember is constructed from laser cut T-6061 aluminum, which makes it very light yet durable and strong for both street and track applications.
The X-Factor crossmember has been flex tested for applications up to 1000 horsepower and it provides Fox Body Mustangs with the clearance for exhaust tubes up to 3.5-inches in diameter.
The new part comes powder coated in metallic aluminum with grade-8 hardware and with a lifetime warrantee.
