In the past decade custom Mustangs have gotten bigger and bolder and much more prevalent. Many people have opted to get in with the “Eleanor” crowd, modifying fastback Mustangs with a bodykit, powerful engine, and all the happy suspension bits that go along with it. But driving your Eleanor clear across the country can be a trying experience, loud and costly and lacking in room for luggage.

If you’re looking for something more accommodating, “Haulenore” might be what the doctor ordered. Hooniverse has the details on Haulenore, which is for sale over at AEClassics.com.

So what is Haulenore? It’s a ‘57 Ford Panel Truck painted silver and black to match the Eleanor Mustang, a color scheme that carries on through the interior. In fact the interior is incredibly modern, with air conditioning, power windows and locks, an AM/FM/CD radio. It looks like quite the comfortable ride, especially with the Ride Tech air suspension.

True to its name, Haulenore packs a punch in the form of a DOHC 5.4 liter V8 backed by 4R70 4-speed speed automatic transmission, both pulled from an ‘03 Lincoln Navigator. It’s powerful yet quiet and confident, able to cruise and still deliver decent gas mileage. We wouldn’t mind trading in an Eleanor for Haulenore, especially for long trips. How about you?

Sporting a DOHC 5.4 liter V8 backed by 4R70 4-speed speed automatic transmission, this panel truck is definitely no slouch.
