We’re always into the strange, peculiar, and down-right awesome. If its got wheels, a form of propulsion, we’re all-in, no doubt! When we came across this video, we were not only amazed but instantly researched how we could immediately order one for our office to truck around in.
Wait until you see this Peterbilt come to life, run, and sound like the real deal. What’s more, it’s not only built to scale, perfectly but it’s scary real. Although there is no way of actually sitting down in the drivers seat, the owner did the next best thing…he takes a ride sitting Indian-style on its trailer.
Luca Bordin isn’t your run-of-the mill Italian. Sure, he could probably win a pizza-dough throwing competition blind-folded, he could also probably out-build anything and anybody once he puts his mind to the lathe, literally.
Bordin’s, got one thing in common with Americans, too. That is, his deep love and affection for American trucks. More specifically, his affinity towards the Peterbilt 359, a lot. And when you come down to it, probably more so than Smokey And The Bandit, even.
Italy isn’t best known for producing some of the worlds greatest trucks and with city streets the size of most American alley’s, you’re chance of finding a truck with comparable size is likely never going to happen. With that in mind, Bordin did the next best thing…he built one in a 9-month time frame, scaled-down. Just check out the included video, below to see this 1:4 replica Peterbilt 359 in action.
Tech Sheet:
