You may remember the show “Madhouse” from a few years ago. It featured the Modified racing class at Bowman Gray Stadium and it was a lot of fun while it lasted.
“Madhouse” the show is gone, but the racing at Bowman Gray is still going strong. The stands are packed every week because the facility always boasts hard racing on its tight confines.
Of course, this clip is of anything but great racing. During the Late Model race driver Kenny Bost has some pretty awful timing leaving the pits to re-enter the action on the track and takes out most of the field. It is impossible to see from this angle, so we don’t know if the flagman fell down on the job or Bost ignored his instructions. Either way, that’s a lot of bent sheet metal.
