For whatever reason, the Dukes of Hazzard television show remains one of the best-known TV series to ever grace the small screen. It could be the high-flying automotive action, the campy plot lines, or the cool cars…but mostly we think it was all about Daisy Duke. Regardless, the Dukes of Hazzard has inspired car buffs for at least three generations, resulting in plenty of replica General Lee Chargers gracing car collections the world over.
But what if your car collection IS the Dukes of Hazzard? Up on eBay we came across an impressive collection of cars from the original TV show, including the General Lee, Sheriff Roscoe’s Bentley and Daisy’s Jeep among others.
Few television shows before or since have been as car-centric as the Dukes of Hazzard, and the producers spared no expense when it came to ensuring cool cars were in good supply for the show’s epic stunts. This collection pays homage to the stars, as well as some of the lesser-known vehicles that helped make the show famous.
The ‘68 Charger repainted as a General Lee replica has a 318 V8 under the hood, and the original actors’ signatures on the top. We already mentioned Roscoe’s Bentley (a nod to his corrupt nature) and Daisy’s Jeep.
Also a part of this collection is Cooter’s old Chevy tow truck, and Boss Hogg’s Cadillac Eldorado convertible is in attendance as well. Hughie Hogg’s VW Beetle convertible., as well as the actual 1973 Chevy tow truck used in the 2006 remake…paperwork included.
The asking price for this whole collection? $85,000, which isn’t all that bad considering you’re getting 8 cars in the deal. If you ask us, this is one of the cooler eBay auctions we’ve stumbled across in quite a while, and we’d have a hard time picking one car to drive first.
