Most of us have probably named a car or two in our day, and some names just seem to work. Naming a car after a girlfriend usually isn’t the best idea, and some names make more sense than others. At the end of the day, named or not, a great car never needs an introduction…but it doesn’t hurt either.

So we give to you today’s eBay Find of the Day, the mish-mash hot rod pickup known as “Stormy’s Green Bean.” With an S-10 frame, the front off of a ‘48 Ford and the cab from a ‘51, this bright “green bean” is sure to turn heads.
In the world of custom rods, attention grabbing colors, and stance are two key ingredients to a recipe and this creation certainly has both. There is just no ignoring the purposely-rough green paintjob of this pickup. Riding on a complete air ride suspension, Stormy’s Green Bean hovers just a few inches off of the road, and it looks like it has seen some action on the salt flats. The dog dish wheels really add a certain retro flair to the ol’ Bean, and you’d be welcome in just about any parking lot with this ride.
Power comes from a pre-86 Chevy 350 that has been mildly upgraded with a new intake manifold, camshaft, and carburetor. The headers and exhaust provide a deep growl no doubt, and the whole thing just comes together like it should. We especially love the bare, riveted-look of the interior with custom pin-striping and that funky steering wheel.
It might need a little work to make it your own, but this is probably one of the more affordable hot rods we’ve seen on eBay in a while. We’re not sure who Stormy is, but the man definitely had good taste.
How much cash would you lay down to get behind the wheel of this Green Bean?
