Already familiar with hot climate, things are about to heat up even more this weekend at the Kern County Fairgrounds in Bakersfield, California. The National Street Rod Association (NSRA) will be hosting their 40th Annual Western Street Rod Nationals Plus from April 29-May 1, 2016, marking the 30th year the event will be held at the Kern County Fairgrounds.
Set to feature more than 2,000 customs, hot rods, and everything through 1985, the competition will be stiff as we will also be in attendance for the show. If you’re near the Bakersfield area, be sure to stop by the show and say hello as we will be covering the event looking for the baddest and most innovative customs.
There will be automobiles, custom and classic from all across the country, each possessing their own unique identity. Be sure to bring the whole family as there will be activities for all ages. In addition, there will be a swap meet where you may find the coveted parts needed to complete your build or a vintage item to add to your collection of memorabilia.
Things are sure to heat up during the night-time cruises, where various customs and classics will cruise the boulevard for all to see. Our coverage from last year highlighted some of the coolest builds at the show, giving you a sample of what is to come for this year’s show.
Don’t miss out on this opportunity to see some cool cars under the warm California sun! To learn more about the event, be sure to check out the NSRA website. We hope to see you at the show this weekend!
