One of the best things a car lover can come across is a yard full of classics just like the one above in Wetaskiwin, Alberta. If only junkyards could talk, imagine the history and memories of eras past and the stories they could tell. Even better than that is a yard owner who’s willing to move things off the lot for a bit of change. We’re sure there’s a myriad of cloistered car havens across the country just as this.
One such place can be found in Maine. If you’re a fan of early 20th century American classics this field is full of them. The seller is currently in the process of clearing out the field and there are some mighty fine scores to be had.
He claims that the cars were all recently pulled from a large barn. Granted, their condition shows signs of weathering over the ages. They probably sat out before being eventually stored in the barn. Among the collection is a ’26 Chevy firetruck which sold for $1,500, that auction ended on the 9th of September.
There are currently four classics up for auction on the seller’s ebay account. The vehicles are as follows – a ’26 Nash 2 door sedan, a ’22 Buick touring, a ’17 Overland touring, and a ’24 Studebaker 4 door sedan. You can check out the listings here.
In terms of these four vehicles if you’re interested in bidding make note that the auctions will be ending for them Thursday September 12 at 6:00 p.m. The field also houses some other vehicles such as two 1963 Triumph TR3s along with a list of newer cars that have yet to be listed for sale.
Rest assured there is a field full of classics and more modern period automobiles. The seller is most likely just scratching the surface and will be listing more throughout the coming months. If you’re on the east coast or don’t mind picking up projects cross country definitely keep this seller bookmarked and check back here for more.
